Applied Value Engineer
The Applied Value Engineer at Celonis plays a pivotal role in driving customer success by leveraging the company's Process Intelligence platform to address complex operational challenges. This position is integral to the Value Engineering team, which focuses on managing the entire customer value lifecycle—from initial sales engagement through value realization, renewal, and expansion. As a member of this team, the Applied Value Engineer collaborates closely with strategic clients to understand their unique objectives and challenges, delivering tailored solutions that drive measurable business impact.
In this role, the Applied Value Engineer is responsible for leading both pre-sales and post-sales technical engagements. Key responsibilities include conducting technical discovery sessions, building compelling ROI and TCO business cases, and guiding the implementation of AI-driven solutions using Celonis' Process Intelligence platform. The engineer will also engage in hackathons and prototyping to develop innovative solutions, support customers in achieving real ROI from AI deployments, and ensure successful project outcomes by staying involved until agreed value and adoption thresholds are met.
Candidates should have at least 4 years of experience in an analytical role, with a strong background in business software or SaaS applications. Proficiency in Python and common machine learning libraries such as LangChain, pandas, pydantic, sklearn, and PyTorch is essential. Experience in project management and executive stakeholder management is also required. A Bachelor's degree is mandatory, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields.
Compensation for this role includes a base salary ranging from $140,000 to $160,000 per year, complemented by bonus or commission structures and equity in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
