Animal Attendant-Casual Contract

Eurofins Animal Health Australia (EAH) is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our team as an Animal Attendant on a casual basis. This role is based at our accredited research facility in Wallacia and focuses on the routine care of cats and dogs. EAH specializes in the design, management, and execution of pre-clinical and clinical studies to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards, supporting the global animal health industry.

The Animal Attendant will be responsible for the daily provision of food and water, cleaning, and interaction with cats and dogs. Key duties include observing animal behavior and interactions, implementing health monitoring procedures, performing routine animal husbandry activities, and maintaining accurate animal records. Additionally, the role involves general facility and equipment cleaning and maintenance, as well as assisting research staff as required.

Candidates must have experience and confidence in handling cats and dogs, the ability to work independently, and demonstrated flexibility and effective communication skills. A Certificate in Animal Studies is required, with veterinary nursing experience or qualifications considered advantageous. The role involves physical work, often outdoors in various weather conditions, and requires availability for weekend and public holiday shifts, approximately 2–3 days a week, including Sundays. Applicants must have their own transport and a current driver's license, as no regular public transport services the facility.
