Analytical Scientist - Tuesday to Saturday
Eurofins is seeking an Analytical Scientist to join our team in Portage, Michigan. This full-time position operates on a Tuesday to Saturday schedule from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, following a 4x10 workweek. Eurofins Scientific is a global leader in life sciences, offering a comprehensive range of analytical testing services to ensure the safety, authenticity, and quality of products across various industries.
In this role, the Analytical Scientist will perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analyses of active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished pharmaceutical products, including tablets, capsules, parenterals, devices, liquids, creams, and gels, as well as animal health products. Responsibilities include preparing standards and samples for analysis, independently operating various chromatographic systems, Karl Fischer titrators, UV/Vis spectrophotometers, HPLC, and dissolution apparatus. The scientist will also execute method transfer protocols, perform monthly maintenance of laboratory equipment, and ensure the accuracy and clarity of laboratory data in adherence to GMP and/or GLP regulations.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field, or have equivalent directly-related experience. A minimum of 1-2 years of previous laboratory experience is required. Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills are essential, along with excellent oral and written communication abilities and attention to detail. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team, exhibit self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude, and have the capacity to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
