Eurofins is seeking an Analytical Method Development Scientist to join our pharmaceutical team in Groton, Connecticut. This role involves supporting drug substance and drug product formulation development by generating precise analytical chemistry data using techniques such as liquid chromatography (HPLC, UPLC), NMR, mass spectrometry, vibrational spectroscopy, gas chromatography, USP/EP dissolution testing, and Karl Fischer titration. The position requires working in a GLP or GMP environment with appropriate documentation and safety practices.

Key responsibilities include developing and executing studies to ascertain degradation mechanisms in both solution and solid states, developing assay and purity methods, assessing method robustness and ruggedness, and executing method validation protocols. The scientist will also develop dissolution methodologies to establish in vivo/in vitro relationships and serve as quality control procedures, transfer analytical methods to other laboratories and remote sites, and generate data supporting accelerated and registration stability studies.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in science or a related field, or equivalent directly-related experience. Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills are essential, along with excellent oral and written communication abilities and attention to detail. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude are also required. Additionally, candidates should be capable of learning new techniques, performing multiple tasks simultaneously, maintaining accurate records, following instructions, and complying with company policies.

The position offers a full-time schedule from Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with potential for weekend, overtime, and holiday work based on business needs. Compensation ranges from $22.25 to $24 per hour.
