Analyst III GCMSMS (Food Testing) - Eurofins Experchem Laboratories, Inc.

Eurofins Experchem Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a GC-MS/MS Specialist (Analyst III) to join our Food Chemistry team in Toronto, Ontario. This role involves providing advanced technical support and analysis for method development, method transfer, and routine analysis of raw materials, bulk, and finished products. The position operates in a deadline-driven, high-pressure environment, handling ongoing projects for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities include performing method development, validation, transfer, and routine analyses using GC-MS/MS and GC-FID instrumentation. The specialist will also engage with advanced instrumentation techniques such as HPLC, LC-MS/MS, and ICP-MS, utilizing software like Waters, Chromeleon, Analyst, and Mass Hunter. Additional duties encompass data review, protocol preparation, report generation, training new analysts, instrument calibration, and troubleshooting non-confirmatory results or methods.

The ideal candidate will possess a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry or a related field, with a solid understanding of chemistry principles. A minimum of four years of experience with applied chemistry techniques, particularly in handling organic matrices like food, is required. Experience in a contract laboratory setting is considered an asset. Proficiency in MS Office and working knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) are also essential.
