Analyst II, Credit Risk Analytics
Affirm is seeking an Analyst II in Credit Risk Analytics to join our dynamic Credit team. This team collaborates closely with Machine Learning, Product, Engineering, Capital Markets, and Commercial teams to responsibly manage the company's risk profile. As Affirm continues its rapid growth, the Credit team focuses on developing strategies for new initiatives and products, conducting ongoing testing and experimentation, and navigating external changes to ensure sustainable growth and portfolio resilience.
In this role, you will leverage advanced data analytics to derive insights and optimize credit strategies. Your responsibilities will include performing portfolio analytics, such as out-of-trend investigations and attribution analysis, monitoring macroeconomic trends impacting loan performance, and partnering with Machine Learning and Engineering teams to build effective monitoring and credit risk capabilities. Additionally, you will drive adjustments to underwriting and marketing strategies to mitigate risk and contribute to enhancing the end-to-end portfolio management monitoring framework.
The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience as a data analyst, preferably in consumer credit risk management. Proficiency in SQL and Python is essential, along with a strong curiosity to learn about data, models, and algorithms. The role requires excellent collaboration and influence across different teams within the organization, as well as the ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. A passion for uncovering insights in data and driving change based on those insights is highly valued.
Affirm offers a competitive compensation package, with base pay ranging from $140,000 to $190,000 per year for employees in California, Washington, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, and from $124,000 to $174,000 per year in other U.S. states. The total compensation package may also include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness, and tech spending, and comprehensive benefits, including fully subsidized medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and their dependents.
