Eurofins CDMO Alphora Inc. is seeking an Analyst II in Analytical Development to join our biopharmaceutical analytics team. This role focuses on supporting technology transfer, method development, qualification, and validation activities for the characterization and analytical testing of biologics. Eurofins CDMO Alphora provides contract research and development services to global pharmaceutical and biotech companies, developing processes and manufacturing bulk drug substances and finished dosage products for clinical trials and commercial requirements.

The Analyst II will be responsible for planning and executing experimental work to generate data and prepare technical reports for early-stage research, preclinical development, or late-stage CMC programs across various drug modalities. Key responsibilities include developing, optimizing, and validating robust analytical separation methods and bioassays to characterize and quantify biologics, collaborating with internal and external partners to support biophysical characterization activities, and adhering to GMP and GDP standards in all analytical work. Additional duties involve writing and reviewing SOPs and work instructions for analytical and lab-related activities, working cross-functionally to drive project timelines and deliverables, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and mentoring junior team members through training, guidance, and feedback.

Candidates should possess a Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related biological science with at least 1 year of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience. A comprehensive understanding of analytical techniques to support the analysis and characterization of biologics is essential. Demonstrated experience and technical expertise in the development and validation of separation methods (e.g., HPLC, LC-MS, CE) including proficiency in Empower 3 software is required. Hands-on experience in developing and qualifying bioassays, including receptor-binding and cell-based assays, is considered an asset. Strong problem-solving skills, outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively as a member of a cross-functional team are also important.

The starting annual base compensation for this position is $65,000 CAD.
