Analyst, Dual Beam FIB – TEM Sample Preparation (Evening Shift)
Eurofins EAG Laboratories is seeking a Materials Analyst to join their Advanced Microscopy team in Sunnyvale, CA. This hands-on, production-focused role involves preparing high-quality, site-specific TEM lamella using Dual Beam FIB-SEM systems, supporting advanced materials and semiconductor analysis for clients across multiple industries. The position is structured for evening shifts from Tuesday to Saturday, 5 pm to 2 am, with a 10% shift differential.
Key responsibilities include preparing TEM lamella on novel materials and advanced semiconductor devices, performing SEM imaging for sample navigation and quality verification, managing multiple client samples to meet internal quality standards and turnaround commitments, optimizing workflows in collaboration with supervisors and team members, and working with internal analytical teams and clients to understand analysis requirements and standardized procedures.
Candidates should possess a B.S. or M.S. in Materials Science & Engineering or a related field, or equivalent hands-on industry experience. Hands-on experience operating Dual Beam FIB-SEM systems, or strong academic/early-industry exposure with demonstrated capability to independently execute sample preparation workflows, is required. A working knowledge of electron microscopy principles (SEM/TEM), a general understanding of semiconductor device physics and failure analysis concepts, and strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven lab environment are also essential.
