Lightmatter is seeking an Analog/Mixed Signal Architect to lead the development of high-speed electro-optical interfaces for its next-generation co-packaged optics solutions. This role involves designing advanced analog and mixed-signal circuits, including high-speed DACs, linear drivers, and TIAs, in the latest FinFET process nodes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to define requirements and solutions for circuit blocks, SoCs, and validation processes.

Key responsibilities include architecting high-speed electro-optical interfaces operating at 200Gbaud and beyond, designing high-speed analog circuits in advanced process nodes (7nm and below), and collaborating across disciplines to specify requirements and solutions for circuit blocks and SoCs. The role also involves working with test and validation engineers to ensure hardware performance aligns with simulation predictions and contributing to the company's technological and product roadmap.

The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in designing high-speed analog circuits in TSMC N3/N5/N7. Hands-on experience in high-speed SERDES design in advanced process nodes, a strong understanding of layout impacts on SERDES performance, and familiarity with UCIe, PAM4, and other high-speed SerDes are essential. Proficiency with circuit and electromagnetic simulation tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Verilog-A, and EMX is also required.

Lightmatter offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health care plans, retirement savings matching, life insurance, generous time off, paid family leave, disability coverage, training and development opportunities, commuter benefits, a flexible hybrid workplace model, and equity grants for full-time employees. The company fosters a collaborative environment where innovative ideas are prioritized, providing opportunities to work on groundbreaking challenges in AI data center infrastructure.
