Additive Manufacturing Technician (multiple shifts)
The Additive Manufacturing Technician at Divergent plays a crucial role in producing high-quality, precision components through additive manufacturing and post-processing operations. Divergent is a technology company that has developed the Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS), an end-to-end factory system utilizing machine learning to engineer, manufacture, and assemble complex vehicle structures and subsystems. Key responsibilities include setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining additive manufacturing machines according to established procedures. The technician will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, perform tasks such as powder handling, sieving, depowdering, heat treatment, bandsaw operation, and media blasting. Ensuring that parts meet engineering, quality, and customer specifications while maintaining a clean and organized work area is essential.
Candidates should possess proficiency with computer software, good hand-eye coordination, strong mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills. A team-oriented mindset with the ability to support and mentor peers, clear communication skills, attention to detail, and dependability are important. The role requires the ability to lift and move 50+ lbs. Preferred qualifications include 1+ years of hands-on experience in additive manufacturing or manufacturing, experience in aerospace or automotive environments, familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality standards, and experience with technical equipment such as lasers, MRI's, EDM's, robotics, CNC's, and CMM.
