Actuarial Science Specialist - Freelance AI Trainer Project

The Actuarial Science Specialist – AI Trainer role is a freelance position focused on enhancing the capabilities of advanced language models in the field of actuarial science. The company is seeking experts to contribute their knowledge to develop AI systems that can provide analytical insights and streamline actuarial workflows.

Key responsibilities include engaging with AI models on various actuarial topics such as loss distributions, reserve calculations, Monte Carlo simulations, stochastic processes, solvency assessments, credibility theory, and insurance pricing. The specialist will assess the models' responses for factual accuracy and logical coherence, document any errors, and suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's or master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field. Completion of actuarial exams through the Society of Actuaries (SOA) or the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS), along with experience in valuation software, data modeling, or risk analysis projects, is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, particularly in explaining complex concepts clearly, are essential.

The position offers a pay range of $8 to $65 per hour, with the exact rate determined based on the candidate's experience, expertise, and geographic location. As a contractor, the specialist is expected to provide a secure computer and high-speed internet; company-sponsored benefits such as health insurance and paid time off do not apply.
