Accounts Payable Lead

The Accounts Payable Lead at Monks is responsible for overseeing the entire accounts payable function within a dynamic shared services environment. This role serves as the primary liaison between vendors and internal teams, ensuring accurate accounting, compliance with policies and tax regulations, timely payments, and continuous process improvements.

Key responsibilities include leading and coordinating the accounts payable team to ensure balanced workload distribution, supervising invoice processing and supplier reconciliations, and ensuring on-time payments in alignment with company policies and cash flow priorities. The role also involves reviewing and approving accounts payable reconciliations and aging reports, managing key vendor relationships to resolve billing disputes, monitoring and reporting on accounts payable KPIs, and identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years of relevant accounts payable experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and local tax regulations, advanced Excel skills, and proficiency with ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) are essential. Additionally, the candidate should possess leadership and team management capabilities, strong organizational and planning skills, and excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
