Accountant

Monks is seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As a key member of our regional Finance team, you will play a crucial role in managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the company's financial health. This position offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative and fast-paced environment, supporting a global leader in advanced marketing and advertising technologies.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining general ledger accounts, managing fixed asset schedules, and performing balance sheet reconciliations. You will oversee month-end closing processes, prepare statutory financial reports, and ensure timely lodgment of payroll taxes and GST/VAT. Additionally, you will assist with consolidating quarterly and annual accounts, support financial analysis, and liaise with external tax advisors and auditors to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with over three years of accounting experience, including at least one year in a similar role. A CPA qualification and experience within the APAC region are preferred. Proficiency in year-end reporting, audit processes, and complex accounting treatments is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a capacity to adapt to rapidly changing environments are also required.
