Account Executive - Gov & Healthcare
Canva is seeking an Account Executive to join our Public Sector Consultant team, focusing on government and healthcare institutions. This role involves owning the strategy, planning, execution, and results within identified public sector accounts, working alongside a Customer Success Manager to drive additional monthly active user growth. The position is based in Austin, Texas, with flexibility in work location.
Key responsibilities include fostering relationships within assigned accounts, onboarding new clients, and providing strategic sales support to ensure successful deployment of Canva across multiple departments. The Account Executive will run a healthy and predictable business that delivers a jointly agreed customer transformation strategy, establish close relationships with users to understand their needs, utilize data analysis to inform future product and marketing plans, and continuously test, learn, and iterate on lifecycle strategies to build meaningful and impactful relationships.
The ideal candidate will have experience with the government and/or healthcare market, understanding public sector efficiency solutions and the ability to communicate how Canva can improve visual design literacy. Sales expertise in government software solutions combined with real-world experience in design is essential. Strong collaboration skills, experience implementing new technologies within government institutions, effective communication abilities, and robust business planning skills are required. Experience in community management and a growth mindset are also important. French language skills are a plus, particularly for engaging with francophone communities in Canada.
