3D Modeler Specialist - Freelance AI Trainer Project

We are seeking 3D modeling specialists with expertise across hard surface and organic modeling to create accurate, production-ready digital assets from 2D reference material. This includes replicating real-world objects, environments, and living forms with volumetric fidelity.

As a 3D Modeler Specialist, you will translate 2D reference images into precise 3D models, ensuring accuracy in geometry, proportions, and topology. Your responsibilities include sourcing supplementary references to resolve occlusions or incomplete imagery, producing high-quality models across various asset categories such as vehicles, props, machinery, humans, animals, plants, buildings, and landscapes. Additionally, you will iterate on models based on feedback to align assets with project quality standards and artistic direction.

The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's or Master's degree in 3D Art, Animation, Game Design, Computer Graphics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Demonstrated proficiency in industry-standard modeling tools like Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Houdini, or 3ds Max, along with familiarity with texturing and UV workflows using tools such as Substance Painter or Mari, is essential. A strong portfolio showcasing a range of hard surface, organic, and environmental assets, ideally for film, games, AR/VR, or other interactive media, is required. A solid understanding of anatomy, form, and material definition, as well as the ability to clearly communicate process and problem-solving steps, is crucial. Comfort in iterative pipelines, with a collaborative mindset and openness to feedback, is also important.

We offer a pay rate of $22 per hour. As a contractor, you will supply a secure computer and high-speed internet; company-sponsored benefits such as health insurance and PTO do not apply.
